Medical Marijuana in Michigan
On November 8, 2008, sixty-three percent (63%) of Michigan voters approved Proposal 1and the law became effective on December 4, 2008. This law removed all Michigan state-level criminal penalties for the possession, use and cultivation of marijuana by qualified medical marijuana Patients who have a written statement from their physicians recommending the use of medical cannabis.
